Infinity Abroad Programme Guidebook & Campaign
Description
Infinity Abroad is a leading cultural exchange agency based in Malaysia and Singapore, focused on creating international opportunities for young people through immersive work and travel programmes.
As the lead designer for the brand launch phase, I established the visual direction and created a cohesive design system across all materials, including the programme guidebook, leaflets, posters, banners, and web assets.

The Challenges
of Guidebook
At the time, Infinity Abroad only had a logo with no established brand identity. The challenge was to create a strong and engaging visual system from scratch while transforming a typically overlooked programme booklet into something students would genuinely want to read and keep.
Another challenge was presenting information-heavy content in a more accessible and compelling way that could encourage programme sign-ups.
Strategy & Approach
The guidebook was designed as something students would genuinely want to read and keep, rather than simply an informational booklet.
Inspired by lifestyle magazines, the visual direction combined editorial layouts, storytelling imagery, and varied layout styles to create a more engaging reading experience.

Dense programme information was simplified into digestible sections with clear hierarchy and visual rhythm.
The overall structure was designed to guide readers through the booklet like a journey.

Lesson learnt
This project strengthened my understanding of editorial restraint, visual hierarchy, and digital communication within cultural and artistic contexts. It also showed me how simplicity and atmosphere can sometimes communicate more effectively than information-heavy design.
Outcomes
The guidebook contributed to achieving full programme enrolment during the launch year and supported continued programme expansion in the following years.
It also helped strengthen Infinity Abroad’s position as one of the leading cultural exchange agencies in Malaysia and Singapore, while establishing a visual direction that was later referenced by competing agencies in the market.
Lesson learnt
This project reinforced the importance of designing with emotion and storytelling, especially for youth-focused audiences. It also strengthened my understanding of how thoughtful editorial design can not only guide users through information in a more engaging and motivating way, but also inspire curiosity, connection, and a sense of possibility.
